Fire protection systems
Protect your home and business premises from fire using high-quality, aesthetically perfected fire protection ALU glazing of the EI30 and EI60 class. They are intended to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and high temperatures around the building within a certain period of time. Fire-resistant glazing provides a high degree of acoustic insulation, a high-level of anti-burglary protection (up to the RC3 safety level) and the possibility of upgrading the fittings with anti-panic fittings.
All MIK fire-resistant glazing systems have been tested by ZAG and have obtained the suitable certificates (certificate of constancy of performance).
EI30 fire-resistant glazing systems
This certificate ensures the retardation of flames, gas fumes, heat and radiation for at least 30 minutes with maximum heat load per element.
All class EI30 fire-resistant glazing systems are constructed in accordance with the STS (Slovenian Technical Approval) and hinder the passage of heat so effectively that the surface of the glass which is directly exposed to flames is not heated at degrees higher than those prescribed by the standard.
EI60 fireproof glazing systems
This certificate ensures an even longer period of retardation of flames, gas fumes, heat and radiation for at least 60 minutes with maximum heat load per element.
All EI60 fire doors are constructed in accordance with the STS (Slovenian Technical Approval) and hinder the passage of heat so effectively that the surface of the glass which is directly exposed to flames is not heated at degrees higher than those prescribed by the standard.
Anti-panic systems – emergency doors
Feel safe in your home or your business premises with MIK safety and emergency doors. These doors are equipped with anti-panic fittings which allow you to quickly escape the premises in unforeseen or dangerous situations.
MIK emergency doors comply with the legally prescribed standards and are equipped with suitable certificates (property constancy certificate issued by ZAG). The basic function of the door with anti-panic fittings is that it can quickly open in the event of force majeure, thus allowing you to leave the room or the building as soon as possible. You can choose between single-leaf or double-leaf doors.
You can choose between two emergency exit standards with anti-panic fittings:
Emergency exit devices
These devices are suitable for rooms and buildings where a lot of people who are not familiar with the premises can be found at the same time. Examples of such facilities include schools, shopping centers, hospitals, theaters, cinemas, discotheques, sports facilities and restaurants. Attention should be paid to the layout of the building and the premises, as well as the number of escape routes and their characteristics. These instructions refer to panic latches that comply with the requirements of the EN 1125 European standard.
Emergency exit devices
These are devices suitable for buildings and spaces where there are fewer people for whom it cannot be concluded that they are well acquainted with the premises. Examples of such facilities include offices and medium-sized meeting places. These devices are recommended for the lowest level of exit doors where panic exit devices are not required. These instructions refer to emergency exit devices that comply with the requirements of the EN 179 European standard.
When it comes to anti-panic doors, the panic function must also be selected in addition to the aforementioned standard.
Possible panic function models:
Unlocked
The latch is unlocked with the turn of the key, and the external handle is enabled at the same time. The doors can be normally used from both sides.
Locked
The latch is locked with the turn of the key, and the external handle is disabled – it is only possible to enter through the doors from the outside if you have a key.
Panic function
The doors can always be used, even if the latch is locked, if you use the handle. After the panic function has been executed, the external handle remains disabled.
Basic position
The doors can be used from both sides, as long as the key is in the lock.
Unlocked
The key can be fully rotated in the direction of unlocking, and the doors can be used from both sides.
Locked
The latch is locked with the turn of the key, and the external handle is disabled, it is not possible to enter through the doors from the outside.
Panic function
The doors can always be used, even if the latch is locked, if you use the handle. After the panic function has been executed, the basic position is resumed.
